Anne Hathaway Cast as Catwoman in The Dark Knight Rises : No offense to The Oscars. And we still adore you, Glee. But Anne Hathaway has signed on for the role of a lifetime. The Academy Awards host will portray Catwoman in The Dark Knight Rises, the next installment of the Batman franchise that will hit theaters in 2012. The upcoming Glee guest star beat out Jessica Biel and Keira Knightley, among others, for the part. Says director Christopher Nolan: “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Anne Hathaway, who will be a fantastic addition to our ensemble as we complete our story.” Warner Brothers also revealed that Tom Hardy will play Bane in the blockbuster. But back to Hathaway: Will she make a good Catwoman?
